Wairimu works as the Digital Media Officer overseeing Inclusive Peace’s digital media channels.

Wairimu has previously worked in private and non-profit fields. She began her career as a communications assistant for an INGO in Kenya until she left to undertake her studies in China. She has worked for tech startups as a multimedia project lead, a media and advertising company as an editor and digital and content marketing before she transitioned to the education sector to work as a communications and marketing manager. Wairimu has consulted on communications strategies especially social media marketing and management for MSMEs in Kenya before joining Inclusive Peace. She also volunteers at the International Women’s Initiative (IWI) as part of their advocacy and public information team.

Wairimu has an MA in Global Business Journalism from Tsinghua University and a BA in Journalism from the United States International University Africa.
