Alexander Bramble obtained an MA in Modern History and Modern Languages (French) from the University of Oxford, and a Masters in International Security (with a thematic specialization on mediation and conflict resolution) from Sciences Po Paris. He was formerly a researcher at both the Geneva Centre for Security Policy and the Foundation for Strategic Research (Paris), working on issues pertaining to international and regional security dynamics, geopolitics, global governance, and foreign and defense policy, with a particular focus on multilateral dialogue processes. He also interned at the Global Centre for the Responsibility to Protect (New York), undertaking research on the conception of national mass atrocity/R2P action plans, measures associated with R2P, and populations at risk of or subject to mass-atrocity crimes and sectarian violence. He has also worked as a freelance translator and editor for a number of international organizations, think tanks, universities, publishing houses, and media outlets.
