Molly holds a Master’s in Public Policy with a concentration in International and Global Affairs from the Harvard Kennedy School and a BA in History from the University of Michigan. She is a gender specialist with a background in Women, Peace and Security and humanitarian intervention in the Horn of Africa. For her Master’s thesis she conducted a gender analysis of the South Sudanese refugee response in Uganda and developed recommendations to inform UN Women’s interventions. Prior to joining IPTI Molly spent four years working in East Africa, as a research consultant for international organizations and an entrepreneur, where she founded a jewelry business to support women artisans in Uganda. Her research interests include gender and conflict, peace processes, refugees, and migration.
