This Briefing Note presents the results of an experts’ discussion convened in January 2015 by the CMI and the Graduate Institute Geneva with support from the Finnish Ministry for Foreign Affairs. The meeting convened policy analysts, practitioners and academics involved in the women, peace and security agenda to review, analyse and frame the key findings from the “Broadening Participation” research related to women’s participation and gendered approaches. The brief highlights seven policy points followed by suggested actions.
